Novice Strategy for Pai Gow Poker
Tuesday, 7. October 2008
Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient ancestry. Built on the ancient Chinese domino game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the east with the wild west in a fantastic game for starting players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player vs. the house, unlike the majority of other poker games that players wager with other players. By gambling against the dealer, beginner players don’t have to be concerned about other, more skillful gamblers taking their moolla.
One more Pai Gow edge is the relatively leisurely game play, beginners are able to take their time and strategize without having to make quick decisions.
It is also simpler to bet on for an extended time with basically a small amount of cash since, to not win, each of your hands must be under both of the houses hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the regular 52-card standard deck and one joker. The gambler is dealt 7 cards face up and the house gets 7 cards face down.
One 5 card hand and a two card hand need to be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be stronger than the two card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be higher than the casino’s.
