Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old origins. Based on the old Chinese domino game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the eastern with the western in a wonderful game for starting players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the croupier, unlike nearly all other poker games that players bet with other gamblers. By gambling against the dealer, beginning players don’t need to worry about other, more skillful gamblers winning their $$$$.

A further Pai Gow edge is the relatively slow game play, newcomers can take their time and strategize without having to make quick selections.

It is also much simpler to gamble on for a long time with just a small bit of cash after all, to lose, both of your hands needs to be lower than both of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the customary 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The gambler is given 7 cards face up and the casino receives seven cards face down.

A 5 card hand and a two card hand have to be made from the seven cards, the five card hand has to be stronger than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be larger than the dealer’s.
