Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card standard deck and one joker. The gambler is dealt 7 cards faces showing and the croupier gets seven cards face down.
One five card hand and a two card hand need to be put together from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be higher than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the dealer’s.
